As CEO of Community Sector Banking, Australia’s not-for-profit banking specialist, Andrew Cairns believes not-for-profits are at the heart of a healthy society – they create the social fabric of our communities and ensure our wellbeing.
Andrew joined in March 2016, after a long career working nationally and internationally across a variety of industries – from manufacturing and the service industry to telecommunications, including 15 years within the Bendigo & Adelaide Bank Group.
After more than 30 years working in the corporate sector, Andrew firmly believes that business can, and should be a force for good. In joining Community Sector Banking, he saw the chance to seize a compelling opportunity to both do good business and be a good business. Bruce Speirs joined Bendigo Bank in 2004 holding a number of senior positions including Head of Products, General Manager Managed Funds, Head of Financial Management and Reporting. Today, Bruce is Executive, Business Banking with responsibility for the end to end experience of Bendigo Bank’s business customers.
Julia is the Executive Officer at the National Stem Cell Foundation of Australia, and a non-executive director with Respect Victoria and the Traffic Accident Commission (TAC). She has a background in strategy, finance, and operations within the energy, advertising, real estate, and biotechnology industries. She holds an MBA (Chicago) and is a Graduate of the AICD.
Rhyll is the Managing Director of Foresters Community Finance Ltd and a former financial services executive with 30 years experience at major ASX listed banks. Her experience includes distribution, marketing, risk and strategy. She holds a Master of Applied Finance and an Executive MBA from INSEAD. She is a Graduate Member of the AICD.
Will is currently the Chief of Staff at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank. Having worked at the Bank for almost 18 years, Will has been involved with many parts of the business including strategy, capital management and compliance. Will has a very strong understanding of licensing, board governance, prudential regulation, the Bank’s community engagement activities and the broader banking sector.
