Media release: $100,000 in grants available for disability projects

09 Apr 15

Community Sector Banking, the only banking service solely dedicated to the community sector, has announced that its Social Investment Grants Program for 2015 is now open for applications.

This year the focus is on assisting those with physical and mental disabilities. Just under one in five Australians has a disability – 4.2 million people.
If your not-for-profit is seeking funds to run a project or program benefiting people with a disability, you could be eligible to apply for a grant of $10,000 to $20,000.

“With over 13,900 not-for-profit organisations in Australia assisting people with a disability, we’re proud to support their efforts through this unique grants program,” said Community Sector Banking’s Managing Director Greg Peel.

“This year the total grant pool is $100,000, which is double that of 2014. So we also thank our customers who have enabled us to help even more.”

Grant applications close at 5pm AEST Thursday, 30 April 2015.
