Our Social Investment Grants Program is back, and in 2019, $350,000 is available to not-for-profits working to build capacity within their organisations which can include efficiency of programs, policy, staff acquisition and retention.
We received an overwhelming number of applications to last year’s program, highlighting the huge need for further funding across the sector.
Speaking about this year’s program, our CEO Andrew Cairns said, “We decided on the building capacity theme because it provides organisations from all sector the opportunity to apply and helps foster collaboration that focuses on the alleviation of issue.’
The 2019 program is a $50,000 increase from the 2018 program, which is funded through Community Sector Banking contributing 50% net profit from the Social Investment Deposit Account. Account holders can also choose to donate 50% or 100% of their interest earned from that account.
“It’s a fantastic example of the power for good that everyday banking can have in strengthening not-for-profits, and in turn, communities that benefit from their services,” Cairns said.
From 1 May, not-for-profits can apply for grants of $25,000 or $50,000. All the information needed to apply, including eligibility, key dates and how to apply can be found online at communitysectorbanking.com.au/grants. Applications close at 5pm AEST 31 May 2019.
